Rutile is the most widespread natural form of titanium dioxide in combination with varying amounts of iron oxide. This gives it a golden to coppery color, while also acting as a dye in some copper alloys. These inclusions are mostly golden in appearance, but can also be silver, copper-red, or dark black.
